2020 Comic Review and 2021 Comic Resolution
Happy New Year! (On the fourth day of the new year… am I late?) Another year has gone and I just wanted to do a review of my progression with my comic from last year.
2020 Review
In 2020 I uploaded way less because there were so many different factors such as my personal life, also there’s times where I have to choose from either focusing on drawing my comic or drawing and painting other pieces of works. I managed to update the character bios and the background of the website and I updated some of the character designs for my characters. Also, I started to seriously use my twitch channel in which I play videogames as well as draw.
I was also able to redraw my prologue and chapter 1 pages. I plan on turning it into a physical book and trying to sell a few copies. There will be slightly more in the printed book than what’s on the web.
There so much more that I want to do but sometimes I just get overwhelmed. Making comics is a lot of work and takes up a lot of your time, especially if you take the time to make sure things look right on every page. I am thinking about attempting to find someone to assist me with helping with my comic, Mercenary Bound, perhaps just starting with a flatter. In the future I would love to have a small team of creators to assist.
Viewership Increase!
Yet, the viewership has increased greatly 6,015 views as of 2020! In 2019, the viewership was 4,180. That may not be a lot for many people that is a lot for me and I hope my website continues to grow from there. Most of my views coming from topwebcomics.com in which you can vote on my comic to make it a higher ranking and gain more visibility. I am also on comicad.net but it is a more involved website and I do not go on there as much.
It’s always awesome when at least one viewer go through multiple pages of Mercenary Bound. I do wish there were more comments though.
2021 Resolution
What my plans are for this year is to increase the viewership and possibly have more interaction, have my chapter 1 and prologue ready for print(and maybe print it), finish chapter 4 of Mercenary Bound and start on chapter 5.
Eventually, I hope that I can do the things I set out to do with my comic.
If you’re creating a comic what are your 2021 plans for it?
Take care and happy drawing.
